Petra Teršlová is a London-based artist of Czech origin. Petra grew up in a small village in the Czech Republic and was drawn to an urban life due to the vast contrast between her childhood and her subsequent travels. Although always interested in art, she took up painting only when she needed an escape and relaxation from her law studies in Prague. Urban landscape, architecture and industrial spaces are the main source of her inspiration and a frequent theme of her oil paintings. The characteristics of her artwork are vibrant colours, use of thick and thin paint and expressive brushwork. Petra has exhibited in London and her artwork is included in several private collections. Currently she studies Fine Art Diploma in Painting and Drawing at the Art Academy in London while pursuing doctoral studies in law.
