Lying Figure Drawing

As my Drawing class progressed I felt confident enough to draw a more challenging position of a figure. This time we were drawing a male figure lying on the back. One of the most important things was capturing right angles. Contrary  to the upright position the proportions of the lying body are wider. Therefore it was useful to  throw my plumbline through two places of the figure – through the knee of the right leg and through the chest.

The teacher wanted us to focus on precise linear drawing (no shadows this time).
